Kardamili is a picturesque seaside village of Messinian Mani, located 35 km southeast of Kalamata. Kardamili is one of the best preserved traditional settlements of Messinian Mani and an important tourist resort. It has been designated by the Ministry of Culture as a landscape of particular natural beauty and as a historical landscape. It is a remarkable natural landscape with lush vegetation in which typical examples of Mani residential development are included. Its land, inhabited from prehistoric times to the present, is rich in monuments of all time and its history is rich in events.
